What is Acuna Ransomware
Acuna is another cryptovirus belonging to the Phobos family. This family also includes Fuucry, Periox, Cadq. Like these viruses, Acuna encrypts user data using a multilevel algorithm so that the files become unusable. Such files have the extension “.Acuna” after encryption. In order to later blackmail victims with files, the virus uses the most important files for the user to infect, usually photos, videos, MS Office documents, archives. After encryption, Acuna creates a file info.hta which has a note:
