How to remove CiviApp

CiviApp is a potentially unwanted program (PUP) that poses a threat to computer systems worldwide. It is classified as adware, which means it displays intrusive advertisements and collects user data for advertising purposes. CiviApp often infiltrates computers through software bundling, where it is packaged with legitimate programs and installed without the user’s consent. Once installed, CiviApp modifies browser settings and bombards users with pop-up ads, banners, and in-text advertisements.

CiviApp infects computers by exploiting vulnerabilities in the operating system and web browsers. It can also be spread through malicious websites, spam email attachments, and peer-to-peer file sharing networks. Once installed, CiviApp tracks users’ browsing habits and collects sensitive information, such as login credentials and financial details. This data is then used for targeted advertising and can also be sold to third parties. To protect against CiviApp and other similar threats, users are advised to avoid downloading software from untrustworthy sources and regularly scan their systems with reputable antivirus software.
