What is Thor ransomware
Thor ransomware – is a malicious software, which encrypt users files and document using RSA-2048 key and AES combination and changing their name to [8_random_characters]-[4_random_characters]-[4_random_characters]-[4_random_characters]-[12_random_characters] with adding .thor as file extension. Mainly, Thor ransomware reach user’s PC due e-mail attachments. After encrypting, Thor ransomware generates _WHAT_is files (.html and .bmp) and leave them on the desktop (picture is used as background screen). At this files, authors of ransomware describe the situation and offer decrypt software for money (3 bit coins). Some people are scared for their encrypted important documents and pay money, but we don’t recommend to do this. It is better to download special removal tools, remove Thor ransomware and then decrypt or recover encrypted .thor files.
