What is LOG Ransomware
LOG is another Ransomware from the Dharma family, in other words, a cryptographer that encrypts user files with RSA-2048 and AES-128 encryption algorithms. It encrypts almost all files located on the user’s computer, in particular, office documents, archives, multimedia files (photos, videos), and much more. LOG Ransomware changes file extensions to .LOG. Also renames files using this template: .id-1E857D00.[Logan8833@aol.com].LOG. After that, the files become unusable. The cryptovirus cteates the pop-up window and FILES ENCRYPTED.txt file. There are notes containing information for redemption.
The note contains an email address for contacting fraudsters, as well as an account to which you need to transfer the ransom in the form of bitcoins in the amount of several hundred dollars. Of course, scammers can really give you back your files by decrypting them, but this is not 100% information. We do not recommend you pay. Better try to delete LOG and decrypt your files using our recommendations.
