What is Nitro ransomware
Nitro or GiveMeNitro is a crypto ransomware. It encrypts files found on user`s computers using the AES infection algorithm, and then demands a ransom from Discord Nitro gift cards to extortion. The extension .givemenitro is added to encrypted files (MS Office, OpenOffice, PDF, text files, databases, photos, music, video, image files, archives). If you see that a file has such an extension in its name, then it has become unusable for further use. This virus is spread by hacking email spam as a fake tool claiming to be able to generate free Nitro gift codes. After encryption, Nitro displays a letter from developers:
Timer on the screen is needed in order to intimidate victim and force to pay the ransom as soon as possible, fearing that after the time expires, files will be deleted.

How do I get the decryption key?
Buy a Discord nitro gift subscription and paste the gift link in the text box. After submitting a valid gift link, you should be able to see the decryption key. Copy the decryption key and click on decrypt files. When decrypting, make sure Windows defender/ any antivirus is off. If you don’t turn it off, not all files will be able to decrypt correctly.
Do not rename the files or try guessing the decryption key. If you do so, your files may get corrupted
